Hair.. high/low lights ? volume at roots? hair cuts?

i wanna find a good natural way to get auburn, and/or dark brown highlights. I wanna make my hair have a large volume at its roots.

i would also like to see good pictures of people who have really thick hair (like me) and have cute, layered hair cuts with bangs.

and if anyone has any good pictures of lauren conrads hair that would be great!

I have REALLY thick hair, but i got it thinnned out ALOT, it is so much easier to do in the mornings.
