why dont hair cut people ever cut your hair how you want it even when you tell them exactly how you want it

Yeah, I hear you. Been there too.

It helps to bring a photo with you.

Because what you tell them may get interpreted differently.

A photo is visual and is "worth a thousand words."

And then you have something concrete if they don't do it right-to say, this isn't what is in the photo. And then not pay for them not doing it as you SHOWED them you wanted it.

i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and it depends on their mood that is the key you need to find a stylist in a mood to do the job. trust me if i am in a crappy mood i will cut crappy hair not on pirpose but that is just the way it is. but basically i am happy all the time ( thanks to drugs) just kidding. they stylist probably tries to cut it like you want it mabe they lack skills and time behind the chair. that is the main reason. good luck

OMG i totally agree like i say only like 1/2 an inch off of the bottem and they cut off like 5 inches and i'm like oh my gawd! u know??? ugh, and then i'll be like i want it this color and they'll give u the wrong color or sumthing like that!! omg i like SOOOOOOO agree with u!!!

it's probably because you go to the cheap places like Supercuts, Bangs, etc...and these kinds of cheap chains...

I don't think these people have enough training.

Go to a better salon, ask for somebody who has lots of experince (years, cutting short hair, doing colors, hi-lights..or whatever) and you will definitely get better results.

It costs also more, but is sooooooo worth it.

usually its because of a miscommunication. or they just suck at cutting hair or suck at understanding and listening. or both.

it might just be different opinions.

you could see it a wrong way as the stylist sees it.

the stylist might not know how to do it but knows hw to do something similar.

or they could just be dumb, but this is not likely.

Bring in a picture. If it doesn't look like the picture, don't pay for the cut. Hairstylists are not supposed to charge the customer if they are unsatisfied with the cut. That's the way the world works. If you go to a restaurant, and ask for your burger medium well, and it comes back medium rare, they either have to fix it, or you don't have to pay for it. Hair works the same way.
