Cut or colour hair first?

I'm getting my hair cut and coloured but at 2 different places on different days.

Should i get my hair cut first at one place then colouered at another or the other way around??

Why dont you do it at the same place? I usually get my hair colored first, then cut.

Cut first, then color. It doesn't make sense to color hair your going to chop off.

My sister is a beautician, she always colors my hair first, then cuts it.... But, if you have really long hair and are getting it cut short, definitely have them cut it first so you don't get socked an arm and a leg for color on hair you're getting cut off anyway.

Since you are going to different places, it probably won't matter. Dying your hair first might be better because they need to wash your hair, so then when you get your hair cut, you won't have to get it washed again (that is really bad to wash your hair twice in one day, bad for natural oils in your hair)

If you're looking at just getting a trim, i suggest colouring your hair first. Once you have coloured you hair, the dye can sometimes bring out your split ends even more....so having a cut afterwards can help get rid of them.

But if you're looking at getting short hair from really long hair, probably a cut first and then get your hair coloured.

I always have my hair colored first. Just because some colors look better on me with certain hair styles. I like to see the color on my hair before I decide what style I will go with.

That's just me though... but I will say that I've been doing it this way for many years and it hasn't failed me yet.

cut first then color it's cheaper that way becuse if you color first they go buy how much hair you have have and how many bottles of dye they are gonna have to use .. Thats how they get you to pay more
